Describe the situation without judgment, explain the impact, ask for the other person’s perspective and agree on a concrete expectation. Conversations improve when facts, interpretation and requests are kept separate.
Emotional intelligence does not mean avoiding tension. It means regulating your reaction so you can say what matters in a way that keeps collaboration possible.
